Tumbling Field Trip

Bryce went on a field trip today with his class from Stillmeadow. They went to an indoor play facility located inside our local mall.

Bryce had fun going down the slide.

Loving the basketball!

Bryce had a terrific morning filled with jumping and playing with all of his friends!

York Revolution Baseball

We went to a York Revolution baseball game this evening with our friends, The Arnolds and Smeltzers. We all had a great time together!

Bryce really enjoyed being at the game with his friends!

The kids began to get restless, so we all went to the play area for a while. After they were done playing, they settled down and were able to sit for the remainder of the game.

After the game was over, the kids were able to run around the bases on the field. Bryce is the little boy in the red shirt running. He loved it! Landon and I followed Bryce around the field. He ran to one base, then I carried him running around the rest of them!

Utz Factory Tour

We went to Utz Potato Chip Factory in Hanover, Pennsylvania today for a tour. My friend Kim was taking her children there so we decided to join her! Kim takes her children on a factory tour every year....what a cool idea! The tour was extra special because Bryce and Landon were able to share it with Matt, Jess and Kim. In this picture, Bryce is admiring all of the products produced by Utz Foods.

The boys loved watching the process of turning a potato into a chip. When we first arrived, there was a trailor filled with potatoes. We were able to follow each step in the production process from the potato in the truck to the filled bag of chips being loaded into boxes then going to a warehouse. Bryce could hardly contain himself - that's how excited he was!

After the tour, we sat down and ate our complimentary bag of Utz potato chips. (They were yummy!) I think I may borrow Kim's idea and take the kids on a different factory tour every year. York and the surrounding area is over flowing with factories so we won't have any problems find a new place to visit each year.

Cooling Off At The Pool

It was a perfect evening to cool off at the pool! Bryce spent most of the evening swimming in the big pool and when he got tired he joined Landon in the baby area. Landon had a lot of fun tonight. We were proud of Landon because he allowed us to play with him in the big pool for a long time without crying! He is becoming much more comfortable in the water.

Play Date At The Park

We met Mary Ellen and Meghan at Lake Redman today for a play date. We ate lunch then went to the play area.

It was a very hot afternoon, so the kids only played for a little while. They still had fun together though!

Landon and Meghan enjoyed sitting next to each other on the play equipment.

Neighborhood Picnic

Our neighborhood held it's annual picnic today. The boys had a blast playing with all of their friends and going on the water slides. It was a perfect afternoon for them! Bryce must have gone down the slides at least 100 times. He loved it! Unfortunately, I took my camera home early so I didn't get pictures of the other activites!

Happy Birthday Dawson

Bryce went to his friend Dawson's birthday party this afternoon. It was held at a local gymnastics facility.

At first, Bryce was hesitant about going on all of the gymnastics equipment. Once he saw the rock wall, he joined in the party activities.

This was one of the favorite activities - jumping in the "cheese pit." It was so fun that the adults tried it too!

Cupcakes

John had to work late this evening so I told the boys I would plan a special activity for them. Our activity was baking cupcakes! Landon had a great time putting the icing on his cupcake.

Bryce had a lot of fun during the whole process. He added all of the ingredients into the mixer and poured the batter into the pan. He did a great job putting on the icing all by himself!

Landon was covered in icing!

Notice all of the icing on Bryce's face before he even took a bite? Yes, he was sampling the icing! Each time I was distracted by Landon (which was a lot!) he took another lick.

Bryce asked me to put a candle on his cupcake so he could blow it out. We ended up lighting it and blowing it out several times. He said it was practice for his upcoming birthday.

Of course, what ever Bryce does, Landon needs to do also. He continuously yelled, "candle, candle, candle" until I put a candle on his cupcake. Watching him try to blow it out was hysterical! Eventually, he needed our assistance to blow out the flame.

Ready, Set, Go!

This is Landon's favorite new indoor activity. He counts as he climbs up the steps (he says, "seven, eight, nine"). Then, when he gets to the top, he sits down and says, "ready, set, go!" When he slides down extra fast, he exclaims, "My gosh! Wow!"

Landon usually claps for himself after he goes down the slide.

Bryce doesn't want to miss out on all of the fun, so he usually joins Landon on the slide. He teaches Landon bad tricks by sliding down on his belly!

Bryce stopped to pose for the camera before sliding.

Backyard Fun

The boys played in the backyard this morning before it became too hot to be outside. Landon enjoyed mowing the yard....and the patio! Bryce enjoyed hitting the baseball this morning while I caught the ball. Bryce doesn't have a lot of interest in sports, so when he does express enthusiasm for an activity, we do everything we can to encourage it.

Arts and Crafts

This morning was hours of arts and crafts fun at our house. Landon had a great time making pictures with markers.

Bryce tried to teach Landon how to use scissors. Landon tried to imitate Bryce's actions, but instead used a two handed method of cutting.

Bryce really enjoys using playdough. As you can see, he incorporated trucks with the playdough. Cars and trucks seem to find their way into almost every activity in our house!

Play Ball

John and Bryce practiced hitting balls in the backyard this evening. Bryce recently began taking interest in hitting a ball with the bat. Yeah! A great hit!

Playtime With Emily and Aaron

Lisa watched the boys for me this afternoon for a few hours. Bryce and Landon both had a great time playing at their cousins' house. They enjoyed being outside and splashing in a baby pool. Landon enjoyed going down the slide into the water. Cousin Emily kept a close eye on him and kept him out of trouble.

Landon loved lying on the floor with Emily and looking at the clouds through the skylight.

Aaron and Bryce enjoyed playing a few games of Wii together.

Playtime With Dad

The boys spent the afternoon with John playing at the park. They had a great time playing with their Dad and John equally enjoyed the alone time with them. Here are some pictures of Bryce and Landon at the park this afternoon.

Hershey Park

We went to Hershey Park this evening with Molly, Wally and the Eckard Family. As always, the boys had a great time and enjoyed being on the rides with their cousins.

It was Landon's first time riding in the caboose with Bryce. He loved it!

Landon enjoyed riding a few rides with Molly.

Tonight was also Landon's first time on the motorcylce. Bryce enjoyed having his brother next to him!

Another first for Landon - the Frog Hopper. He smiled and giggled the entire time!
