Make Your Own Pizza

Yesterday was "Make Your Own Pizza Night" for dinner. This happens about once a week at our house. I give the boys a whole wheat, high fiber tortilla shell and they put their own tomato sauce, cheese and topping on it. They love it! I have to help Landon when he makes his pizza because he would rather eat all of the ingredients than put them on the tortilla shell! Here is a picutre of the boys' pizzas. Bryce designed his to look like a smiley face, although he forgot to add a nose!

Big Boy Bed

We hit another milestone with Landon today. No more crib!!! John converted his crib into a toddler bed this evening. Landon struggled falling asleep tonight because of the change, but hopefully he will sleep all night.

Bubbles With Molly

Landon and I went to my parents house this evening. Landon enjoyed 100 percent of Molly and Wally's attention since Bryce stayed home. The first toy Landon reached for was the bubbles. He and Molly had fun playing together!

Evening With Friends

Our friends Jeff, Johnyne, Alex and Conner came over on Saturday for dinner. The boys had a great time playing and the adults enjoyed talking. Conner was Landon's buddy!
The boys had fun playing dress up with all of our old Halloween costumes.

Fresh Air

The boys got some much needed fresh air on Friday. The temperature was close to 50 degrees - perfect for playing outside! Bryce and Landon were so excited that Christian and Andrew joined them in our driveway for an evening of fun with chalk. When it got dark, we invited Christian and Andrew over to play and eat pizza with us. It was a perfect evening for the boys!

Hours of Fun with A Box

I am always amazed when my kids play with a large box. It is hours of great entertainment and a source of endless creativity. We started out with a big box that turned into many different vehicles - car, truck, even a train. The boys eventually tore the box into smaller pieces and it became an art project. After a few days of play, the cardboard is now covered in glue, crayon markings, construction paper and anything else that would adhere to it. There were two major meltdowns when John attempted to throw the mangled box away. It is now in the basement for another week of enjoyment!

Moon Sand

Bryce was very naughty....he took the moon sand out of his toy room after I told him it is an outdoor summer activity. I have come to the conclusion that moon sand is the same as sand box sand, except it is a different color. I hate it and curse its inventor (and the company that markets it as an indoor activity)! After our latest disastrous experience with moon sand, we threw it away! Yeah! No more moon sand for our house!

Picture Time

We took Bryce and Landon to Picture People on Saturday to have their photo taken. God bless the photographer...she snapped this photo at just the right time! It is so hard to get a good picture of both of the boys smiling! It is getting much easier with Bryce, but Landon is still too busy to sit still for a photo. You need quick fingers to get a good shot of him!

Hot Wheels

Bryce received this Hot Wheels track a few years ago for Christmas. We FINALLY put it together last night. The boys were so excited about this track and they could barley contain themselves! It was hours of entertainment! It is now permanently set up in the basement for hot wheel fun!

Happy Birthday Alex

Bryce went to his friend Alex's birthday party yesterday. Bryce and Alex haven't seen eachother for a few months so they were very excited to play together!
Alex's party was at a bowling alley. Bryce was so excited to go and he had a lot of fun bowling. He bowled two spares - with the assistance of rails to prevent the ball from going in the gutter.

Big Brother

Bryce played "Big Brother" tonight. As Bryce described it, playing Big Brother means helping to take care of your little brother. So, this evening, Bryce helped wash Landon during his bath, put Landon's pajamas on him, combed Landon's hair, read him books and helped me put him to bed. I love this game! I wish Bryce would play it every night. One very important rule I forgot to mention is there is no fighting when you play Big Brother!

Happy Birthday Wally!

We celebrated Wally's 70th birthday this weekend with a party at Lisa's house. All of the kids were excited to sing happy birthday and help Wally blow out the candles.

Our Rocker Boy

This is a picture of Bryce, our rocker boy, belting out a song while playing his electric guitar!

Another Sleepover

Bryce had another sleepover - this time Emily and Aaron stayed over at our house. Landon enjoyed 24 hours of constant attention from Emily and loved every second of it! Bryce and Aaron were great buddies and enjoyed a lot of "boy" activities, including wresting and playing with trucks.
John made pancakes for everyone on Saturday morning. They were yummy!

Happy Birthday Grant

Bryce went to his friend Grant's frog theme birthday party today. Bryce had fun making a craft project.
Grant's mom Jennifer read the boys a book about frogs.
The frog pinata was the highlight of the party! Bryce had fun collecting candy after it broke!

A Successful Sleepover!

Bryce had a successful sleepover at Aunt Lisa and Uncle Greg's house! Yeah! Bryce slept in Aaron's room on a mattress set up on the floor. He slept all night long! After the sleepover, Emily and Aaron came over to play. In this picture, Aaron and Bryce are being rock stars with their guitars and mohawks! The hair style was created by Emily, and Bryce loved it!
Bryce and Aaron had fun dressing up in the Nascar costumes. Such buddies!

New Year's At Emily and Arron's

We went to Lisa and Greg's house this evening to hang out and celebrate Greg's birthday. The kids had a blast playing together! Bryce and Aaron were buddies all evening. When it was time to go home, Bryce said he wanted to have a sleep over at Aunt Lisa's house and be with Aaron all night long. So, for only the second time in his life, he is spending the night away from Mom and Dad. I am missing him sooooo much!!! We are hoping the night will go well without a middle of the night phone call to pick Bryce up!

Yummy!

Yummy!!! Look at these boys devouring a piece of chocolate cake! We went to Chili's yesterday for lunch and everyone shared a piece of chocolate cake. Bryce definately enjoyed it the most, and the evidence was all over his face!
