Swim Time

Bryce and Aaron went swimming together this past weekend while we were at the hotel in Ocean City. They had a great time splashing in the pool and diving in the water.

First Snowfall Of The Season!!!

We had our first snowfall of the season yesterday! How exciting! The kids played outside for several hours today. Bryce was very busy in the snow today! It was a big day for Landon because it was his first time playing in the snow. He walked a little bit in the snow, but after he fell face first he decided the sled is the best place to be. Bryce loved pulling Landon's sled around the yard.

Rockin Santa

We bought this silly dancing Santa several years ago (before we had children) because we thought our nieces and nephews would love it. When you turn Santa on, he sings "Jingle Bell Rock" and shakes his hips. Bryce and Landon LOVE playing with him. It is especially entertaining when they shake their hips with him.

I Love Phones!

Landon loves phones right now, especially a real one. We have to be very careful where we put the phone after we are done using it. When we forget to hang it up this is what usually happens. In addition to pushing the buttons, Landon also likes to talk on the phone, even if there is no one on the other line!

A Landon-Proof Christmas Tree

Notice anything unusual about our Christmas tree? There are no ornaments on the bottom third! It is a Landon-proof Christmas tree. We debated about even having a tree this year but decided that we needed to have one for Bryce. As you can see, Landon can still reach the ornaments! We are hoping to quickly "train" him to stay away from the tree and ornaments. On the day we put the tree up, Landon would stand in front of it and say, "ball, ball, ball" and then try to reach an ornament. We were very excited today because he didn't touch the tree all day long! I took several pictures of Landon with the tree so, of course, Bryce needed to have his picture taken with the tree too!

I Can Do It Too!

When Landon hears Bryce washing his hands, he immediately runs into the bathroom to join his brother. He has been getting brave lately by using the stool with Bryce. Landon didn't want to leave the bathroom when Bryce was finished. He wanted to wash his hands by himself too!

Giving Thanks

The boys enjoyed playing with their cousins on Thanksgiving Day. Landon received a lot of attention from Emily and Bryce spent the day playing with the boys.

Creative Use of Yarn

The other day, Bryce said he needed rope for his trucks. He improvised by getting a pair of scissors and attempted to cut a string off a toy. We caught him just in time and gave him a roll of yarn instead. He has discovered many creative uses for the yarn. In this picture, he is wrapping it around a truck...we are assuming that he was trying to "tow" the vehicle with the yarn.

My Favorite Things

Landon walking around with a ball in each hand is a common sight in our house.

One of Landon's newest love is this big red truck. He especially enjoys riding in the truck bed, but he has to do it quickly because Mommy and Daddy always take him off!

Landon has learned very quickly from his big brother that stools (or toy bins) are great tools to use when you can't reach something! He enjoys them entirely too much!

Football Time!

Bryce was pretending to be a football player today. He had a great time wearing a "real" Ohio State football team uniform!

Visiting Cousin Emily

Cousin Emily called us this morning and invited us to her family day at school. We had a great time visiting with her and we are very proud of how well she did during her class presentation. (Bryce was unfortunately very tired while we were there...you can tell by his lack of enthusiasm!)

Aunt Lisa helped to entertain Landon during our visit. (I have no idea who the boy is in the picture!!! He is one of Emily's classmates who wanted to be in the photo! How cute!).

Our New OSU Toys

Meemaw and Papal David sent the boys an Ohio State truck and football. Bryce loves his new truck and Landon has been throwing the football all evening. The boys really enjoyed playing with their new toys before bedtime this evening.

Happy Boys

Bryce had a great day of play today! In this picture, Bryce was pretending the kitchen island was a truck parking lot. He lined up all of his tractor trailers and pretended they were being loaded with their delivery. Such an imagination! Landon was a very happy boy today!

A Perfect Fall Day

The weather this afternoon was absolutely beautiful and perfect for playing outside.

It has been several weeks since we played in the sandbox in the back yard. What a differance a few weeks make! We think Landon recently experienced a developmental growth spurt and it was evident in the way he played outside today.

Landon LOVED pushing the big Tonka truck around the yard.

At first glance, one might look at this picture and say, "Look at them playing together. How sweet." In reality, Bryce is very upset that Landon is playing with "his" truck and he is taking it away from him. They will eventually learn to share, right?

Afternoon Playtime

Landon found Bryce's sunglasses this afternoon so he decided to wear them around the house.

When Landon realized that I was taking his photograph, he quickly took off the sunglasses and decided he was done wearing them!

Bryce quietly played with playdough while Landon paraded around the house with his glasses.

What Can I Get Into Now?

John and I thought we had passed the "look how fun it is to unroll the toilet paper" phase. It began this summer and after months of hiding the toilet paper, we thought the phase had ended. This morning, Landon rediscovered the joy of pulling an entire roll of toilet paper.

A Fall Picnic

Bryce wanted to go on a picnic on Thursday. So after Daddy got home from work, Bryce and I went to the park for a special picnic. He had a great time!

Bryce was very animated for the camera and had a fun time trying different poses.

A New Tooth

Last week, Landon finally got another tooth. He is 14 months old and only has three teeth! I think he realizes that he has a new tooth because he is grinding it with his bottom two teeth.

More, Please

Landon was introduced to M & M s last week and he loves them! In this picture, John has a bag of M & M s in his hand. The boys sat right beside John until the bag was empty! There are very few things that wil keep both of them sitting still...M & M is one of them!

Playing Outside

Bryce played outside on Friday evening with his friends.

One of Bryce's favorite things to do is play outside with the "big boys." The older kids in our neighborhood are really good about playing with Bryce when they see him. They are also very generous and give Bryce a lot of the toys they have outgrown.
