My First Scooter

We bought Bryce his first scooter today. He was soooo excited! He rode it in our basement for a few hours this afternoon while Landon took a nap. When Landon saw Bryce on a scooter he immediately wanted in on the action. I put a helmet on him and he found a suitable substitue for a scooter!

I Have An Important Job

Bryce was very serious about his job of cutting the grass. When I asked him if he wanted to play ball with me and Landon, he said, "No, Mom. I have a very important job to do. I need to finish cutting the grass. Can't you see how long it is?"

Play Ball!

Landon had a terrifc time playing kick ball outside this week! Playing ball is one of his favorite things to do!

Fresh Air

Bryce and Landon got some much needed fresh air yesterday when they played outside. They loved being in the sandbox together, and as you can see in the picture, they were very busy loading sand into their dump trucks!

Playing Cars

Bryce continues to love playing with cars and trucks. I don't think there has been a day that he hasn't played with cars! Today he enjoyed dumping all of them on the floor, looking for ones he hasn't seen for a while.

Chillin' With A Lollipop

Landon was comfortable sitting on the rocking chair sucking on his lollipop!

Round Two

We were hit with round two of the stomach virus during this cold/flu season. Ladon got it first on Tuesday followed by me on Wednesday. Bryce got sick early Friday morning. Landon has been miserable all week and we are looking forward to him feeling like himself again. Bryce bounced back quickly and was feeling better by Saturday.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny visited Bryce and Landon at their cousins' house.

The boys got all dressed up for church!

We enjoyed Easter dinner with John's Dad and cousins Lisa, Brian, Noah and Mckenzie.

Playing with Noah and Mckenzie

We visited cousins Lisa, Brian and their kids Noah and Mckenzie on Saturday. The boys had a great time playing with their cousins and loved having a sleep over at their house.

More Family Time

After we said goodbye to Meemaw and Papaw, it was time to visit Grandpa Danes!

Goodbye!

Bryce and Landon were sad to say goodbye to Meemaw and Papaw!

Reading Books

The boys enjoyed reading bedtime books with Aunt Jill and Memaw on Friday night.

Buddies

Bryce had fun watching the basektball game with his Papaw David.

An Early Visit From the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny visited Bryce and Landon a few days early at Meemaw and Papaw's house. They each received lots of candy and a new Thomas train.

Bryce was so happy about his Easter basket.

The Easter Bunny hid eggs today. Bryce did a great job finding all of them!

Landon enjoyed throwing the Easter eggs like a ball!

Traveling To Ohio

We began traveling to Ohio yesterday to visit John's family for Easter. We drove half way last night and spent the night in a hotel. John and Bryce loaded up the car this morning and Landon tried to follow them out. He stayed near the door anxiously waiting for them to return. Everyone has their own suitcase for our trip, so of course, we needed every suitcase in the hotel for a one night say. Bryce enjoyed carrying a suitcase to the car.

Helpers In The Kitchen

Bryce found brownie mix in the pantry this morning and he asked me to make it. I had two little helpers assisting me with the brownies! Both of their shirts were covered with brownie mix so I had to take them off within minutes of them assuming their spots on the chair.

Landon enjoyed sampling the icing! What a mess!

Bryce licked all of the extra icing off the spatula. Landon studied Bryce's actions and quickly learned he could lick the icing too!

Three Boys In A Tub

We went to Molly and Wally's house to decorate Easter eggs yesterday. (Somehow, I didn't get pictures the boys decorating the eggs!). At the end of the evening, Aaron, Bryce and Landon took a bath together. They had so much fun. Emily, of course, had to be in the midst of the action helping with Landon! They were all smiles during bath time!

A Picnic Dinner

We had a pinic at the park this evening. The temperature dropped as the sun began to go down so it was much cooler than we expected. It was still a nice family picnic at the park desipte the chilly weather!

Playing ball is still one of Landon's favorite activities!

Bryce had fun retrieving the ball after Landon threw it.

This is a typical sight of Landon trying to keep up with Bryce and John. Landon desperately wants to be one of the big boys!

The kids enjoyed visiting the climbing section of the park. They loved climbing up the steps then jumping off.

Play Date With Meghan

We met my girlfriend Mell and her daughter Meghan at the mall today. Landon's favorite part of the walk was being released from the stroller! He and Meghan enjoyed checking eachother out! When Meghan gets a little older, I am sure they will be best of buddies!

Roller Skating!

My employer sponsored a roller skating party last night so we decided to take the kids to see if they would enjoy skating. What a blast! They loved it more than we could have ever imagined!

Landon loved being on skates!

We held Landon's hand as he skated around the rink. I made a big mistake by wearning skates the first time we took Landon out. I fell on my rear trying to catch him as he fell! We then decided the safest option was to wear shoes on the rink.

Bryce was uncharastically independent on the skating rink. He wanted to skate by himself and when we tried to go with him, he said, "Stop following me! I want to be alone!" Our shy little boy is starting to break out of his shell!

Who knew roller skating would be so much fun!

Easter Egg Hunt

Bryce and Landon went to an Easter Egg Hunt in our neighborhood yesterday. They both had a great time despite the cold temperatures! Landon followed his big brother's lead and immediately began putting eggs in his basket. Bryce was more excited about the Egg Hunt than he had been in previous years. He ran off on his own and loved putting all of the eggs in his basket.
Landon had the same reaction to the Easter Bunny that he had to Santa Claus! I thought it would help him by having Bryce go with him, but it didin't.

Our Favorite Lunch Spot

The kids absolutely love eating lunch at Target and they beg to visit the snack bar each time we shop there. It is a big treat for them to eat at Target and watch all the cars in the parking lot! It doesn't take much to make them happy!

Bryce's First Soccer Game

Bryce had his first soccer game today and he did a great job! (FYI - We define "great" as following the group of kids chasing the soccer ball and not crying!) We were proud of Bryce for trying so hard! Athletics do not come naturally to Bryce so he needs to work extra hard to keep up with the other kids!

Landon had fun playing with our friend Katherine during the game.

The kids had fun giving the other team "high fives" after the game.

Another Beautiful Day

Thursday was another beautiful day so we went to the park again. It wasn't as warm as it was on Monday but it felt great to be outside playing again! The boys brought a few trucks to play with and they enjoyed scooping mulch with their shovels.

Landon enjoyed throwing the ball at the park.
