Minature Golf

After we ate dinner this evening, we went minature golfing. Bryce enjoyed hitting the ball with the golf club while Landon prefered throwing the ball!

Beach Time

We enjoyed some time on the beach this morning.

Fun On The Boardwalk

We started our day today with a trip to the boardwalk. Bryce had a great time riding his bike!

Landon enjoyed being pushed in the stroller while Bryce rode his bike.

Bryce was exhausted and refused to ride his bike any longer! He decided he would rather be pushed in the stroller and Daddy carried the bike for many blocks.

A Yucky Day

The weather today was terrible! Very windy and rainy! Winds were about 40 mph and the temperature was in the high 40's.

The boys looked at the beach from our hotel window. The waves were crazy and we never saw anyone on the beach all day.

Since all outside activities were out, we decided to drive to Rehoboth Beach to shop at the outlets.

In the evening after dinner, we went to the hotel pool for a few hours. Bryce had a great time doing "cannon balls!"

A Long Drive

Landon is not a good traveler! This picture describes how he felt for most of our drive to Ocean City, MD. We had to make several stops to get Landon out of the car seat and sooth him. He is just not content in the car for long periods of time! Bryce is a terrific traveler and always has been. Here he is with his "Iron Man" sunglasses from his Burger King kids meal. He wanted to wear them outside so we had to tell him they are not glasses that can be worn in public!

We're At The Beach!

We are at the beach! We decided a few weeks ago to go on a short trip and head to the beach for a few days. We arrived yesterday and we are enjoying spending time together!

Mother's Day Picnic

The daycare Bryce attends held a special Mother's Day event. The kids sang a few special songs for all of the mothers.

After singing, we decorated a flower pot and planted a marigold inside it.

All of the kids enjoyed planting the flower with their moms.

A picnic was the last activity on our Mother's Day party agenda. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for an outside picnic so we brought it inside.

A Great Afternoon

Bryce and Landon spent the afternoon with Emily. They had a great time and always enjoy when she visits! Molly was here too. Bryce wanted everyone to sit on the couch and watch his favorite new TV show - "Trick My Truck."

Art

As I was gathering newspapers for recycling, Bryce told me he wanted to "create art" with the ads. I gave him scissors and glue and he went to town! He had a great time cutting pictures and gluing them together. By the way, do you like his art attire? Before he began working, he prepared by taking his shirt off and putting a baseball hat on. Too funny! Landon wanted to help Bryce so I gave him a pair of children's scissors. He sat on his chair for several minutes just opening and closing the scissors.

My Favorite Spots

Landon has two favorite places in our house. He spends a lot of time at the front door looking out the window. He enjoys watching everyone outside. We are not fond of this activity because little fingers, tounges and noses always end up on the glass. We have to clean the windows everyday!!! Landon's second favorite spot in the house is the kitchen table. He climbs onto the table in lightening speed time because he knows we remove him from the table as soon as we see him. We are discouraging this activity!

Preschool Program

Bryce's preschool class held a special Mother's Day program today. The kids sang a song and recited the words to "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" (one of Bryce's favorite books!).

Fun In The Laundry Basket

Who knew playing in a laundry basket could be so much fun?

Bryce pretended the baskets were boats and traveled down the river in them.

Next, the baskets turned into beds. Don't they look so cozy? The boys enjoyed sitting in the baskets while watching Sesame Street this evening.

Landon hopped out of his basket and joined Bryce in his.

Admiring The Lake

The park we visited today has a beautiful lake. The boys enjoyed looking at the water and watching the boats. We thought about renting a boat and going out in the water but decided that Landon was too young. We are looking forward to the day when we can all go on the water together!

Our First Hike

We went on our first family hike this afternoon. We didn't go very far but the kids still enjoyed it.

As you can tell by the look on Bryce's face, he was nervous to go into the woods. He called it a forest and asked us if we would see any bears or snakes. We told him "no" and hoped a snake would not sliver out of the bushes!

We held Landon during most of our hike. We gave him a few brief moments of freedom, but as expected, Landon tried to run off!

An Afternoon At The Park

We packed our lunch and spent a few hours at a local park this afternoon. We have never been at this park before so the kids enjoyed the new atmosphere.

Bryce walked along the wall so Landon decided he needed to do it too!

There were many cool things at this park to play on!

Landon was feeling brave and tried to climb this wall. He didn't make it very far.

Bryce loved walking on this part of the equipment.

Hangin' In The Van

The boys enjoy sitting in the back seat of the van when we pack to go out for the day. They think it is hysterical that they can look out at us while we load up the van. It's the little things that make them happy!

End of Season Soccer Party

Today was Bryce's end of season soccer party. He was so proud to receive a medal for finishing the season!!

Me Too!

John bought a slushy for Bryce this evening and, of course, Landon wanted some too! Bryce left the drink on the kitchen table and Landon got up on a chair and helped himself to a sip (or two). Landon needs to do everything Bryce does!

Brown's Orchard

We met Meghan and Mary Ellen this afternoon for lunch at Brown's Orchard.

Bryce really enjoyed talking to Meghan.

This is Landon right before he threw a piece of grass at Meghan! Is this a sign of what's to come with Landon? Needless to say, he needs a lot of redirection right now.

Piano Man

Landon loves playing the piano at Molly's house!

Preschool Recognition Sunday

Bryce's preschool had an event at their church called "Preschool Recognition Sunday." All of the preschool children sang songs during the service and listened as Pastor Bob read them a story. Bryce did a great job considering two years ago he cried during the entire event. He has come a long way in a few years!

Fun In The Back Yard

Bryce enjoyed playing in our back yard with Hunter, Wyatt, Andrew and Christian.
