Happy Birthday Donovan

Bryce went to his friend Donovan's birthday party this weekend at a Karate school. All the boys had a great time with the activities and were exhausted by the end.

Boys on Bikes

Look at this daredevil on a battery operated bike. We have to run to keep up with him! Bryce has really been enjoying riding his bike. We are hoping that he will ride without training wheels by the end of the summer.

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to an Easter Egg Hunt this weekend sponsored by my employer. The boys had a blast! Landon quickly grasped the concept of gathering eggs and goodies from the ground. Bryce and John stayed close just in case he needed help.

The boys had their faces painted. We were shocked that Landon sat for it without moving!

Pipe Art

John had a piece of pipe left over from his project yesterday and Bryce immediately asked to create art with it. It didn't go over very well with Landon when Bryce had one and he didin't. The solution was to cut it in half and make two! Who knew coloring a pipe could be so much fun?

Can you tell what Landon is thinking in this picture? Should I continue to color the table with a marker or color the pipe? When will Mommy notice what I'm doing?

Bedtime Books

Look at these two happy boys reading their bedtime books together!

Dad's Special Helper

Bryce is always John's special helper with outdoor projects. Today, he helped John dig a hole for a pipe. They both loved being outside together! Our neighbor Eric was also a super helper!

Musical Glasses

Bryce saw a show on Noggin TV with kids making music with glasses filled with water. Bryce wanted to try it out so I filled a few wine glasses and the kids starting tapping. They loved listening to the different sounds. There were a few moments when I thought Landon was going to break a glass, but thankfully he didn't! We had to remind him to be gentle. Landon enjoyed sampling the water when Bryce walked away. Sneaky boy!

Yard Work with Dad

The boys enjoyed helping John with yard work on Sunday. They were great helpers! Landon took a break to ride his motorcycle.

Bryce also took a few breaks to swing. He is finally learning to swing by himself!

Family Night

We went to Hard Kohr Fitness again for another Family Night this weekend. We went with John's co-worker, Michelle, and her family. The kids had a great time running and dancing and had a restful night of sleep when they got home! Landon is missing from the photo....he was too busy running around to pose for a photograph!

Spring Recital

Bryce's class had their Spring recital this week. Bryce really enjoyed singing all of the songs and dancing on stage. Here is a picture of all of the kids who participated in the recital. It is hilarious to watch four, five and six year-olds singing on a stage. John, my mom and I laughed so hard at times that we had tears running down our faces!

Learning to Ride

Landon is learning to ride a scooter this year. We are amazed at how quickly he is learning - he is definitely the second child, picking it up so fast! While Landon practiced on his scooter, Bryce got on the tricycle. He looked so funny riding on the small bike!

Borders Books

We attempted a trip to the library this weekend, but it was closed. We did the next best thing - we went to Borders Books. Bryce picked out a lot of books to read but they all had a common theme - forms of transportation. We read all about tractors, trains, cars and planes. We didn't read much with Landon. We spent most of the time keeping our busy two-year old under control.

Playing Outside

Bryce was so happy to play outside this weekend after being stuck in the house all week long. He had fun riding his skateboard with Christian's help. John took Bryce outside to play baseball to prepare for the upcoming t-ball season.

We just got Bryce a new bat and glove for t-ball. He needed Daddy's help to put it on.

Sick Day

Bryce had several sick days this week. He got a fever on Sunday and it didn't go away until late Thursday. Molly helped to take care of him this week. In this picture, Bryce is watching the trains at her house. Playing with the trains a Molly's house was a highlight of Bryce's week. He was excited about the two new trains Uncle Vince gave Molly and Wally for Christmas!

Bouncy Boy

This is a typical picture of Landon doing what he loves - jumping. All day long, you will find him jumping, hopping, bouncing and running. He is a very busy little boy!

Happy Birthday Jimmy

Bryce went to his friend Jimmy's party this weekend. The party was at Jimmy's parents gym, where we went for Family Night a few weeks ago. Jimmy is a sports fanatic and had a Tony Hawke (skate boarding) theme party. The boys loved playing in the kids' room.

Jimmy's dad lead a few games of kick ball. Bryce played one game, then decided he was done playing sports!

Keeping Landon OUT of Trouble

We worked on a house project this weekend and needed to get Landon out of the house. John and Bryce stayed at home to work while I took Landon to my parents house. Landon touches everything while we are working and he gets himself into trouble! If there is something he shouldn't touch, he touches it anyway then laughes. What a stinker! He does a great job earning multiple trips to time out! Landon loves playing Molly and Wally's piano.

Landon enjoyed watching the trains go around the track. Molly and Wally got a few new trains recently and Landon had fun checking them out.

Salad Boy

Landon LOVES to eat salad! Last weekend, we went to a hibachi restaurant for dinner and he ate almost the entire salad. It's amazing to see differences between two children who have the same parents. Landon loves, salad, apples, grapes and corn. Bryce gags on the smell of all of those items! We are keeping our fingers crossed for Bryce to also acquire a love of salad someday!

Snow Day

We enjoyed our snow day yesterday! Bryce did a great job helping John shovel the sidewalk. Landon enjoyed helping too!

I took Landon for a walk in the neighborhood and pulled him in his sled. He loved it!

When Landon fell asleep for his afternoon nap, Bryce went back outside to play. He played alone in the back yard with his trucks and a shovel.

Family Fun Night

We went to a family night at a local gym with the Arnolds. It was a great night of fun and activity. The boys had a terrific time! Dancing in the aerobics room was a highlight of the evening. They were surrounded by mirrors and moved to the grove! I have no idea how to describe Landon's dance move in this picture! At one point, they were shaking their tushes singing, "shake your booty!"

We went to the kids room for a little while, which gave the adults some downtime to talk.

Landon, our little jumper, loved jumping off the stage onto the wood floor.

Bryce had a great time playing with Grant tonight. Jimmy, one of Bryce's classmates from Stillmeadow, was also there. Jimmy's parents own the gym, so I have a feeling we will be going to many more family nights at Hard Kohr Fitness.

Dry Erase Markers

We got the dry erase markers and boards out for the boys tonight. They haven't played with them for a while so it was like playing with a new toy.
