We went to Family Night at Hard Kohr Fitness yesterday. We had a blast as we always do there! Bryce enjoyed playing badminton with his friends Grant and Jimmy.
John, Bryce and Jeremy played basketball together.
We went to a York Revolution baseball game last night and had a blast! Bryce and Landon love it! We were pleasantly surprised (and shocked) at how long Landon lasted at the game. After every Saturday home game, there is a fireworks display and were were hoping to be able to see it, but we didn't know if Landon would be up for it. He did great and we watched the fireworks!
The boys always enjoy taking a break from the game to play on the playground.
Yesterday was "Western Day" at the boys' childcare center. The kids were able to dress like cowboys and they had an opportunity to ride a horse. Bryce's teacher said before he got off the horse, he waved one hand in the air and yelled, "Ride 'em cowboy!"
Landon was not as excited about "Western Day" - he refused to wear his western attire! He did, however, enjoy riding the horse.
We traveled to Ohio last weekend to visit John's family. The first part of our trip was spent with John's mother and step father. On our first night visiting, we all went out to eat together.
Bryce enjoyed coloring with Aunt Jill and telling her all about his friends.
Bryce and Landon were Meemaw's special helpers! They filled spray bottles with water and sprayed all of her flowers.
Since Meemaw and Papaw won't see the boys for their birthdays, they decided to have a birthday party for them in Ohio. Bryce and Landon were so excited to blow out the candles and open a present.
We helped cousin Hunter celebrate his 9th birthday yesterday at a party at his house. It's so hard to believe that he's nine years old!
Bryce and I went to the party alone and Landon stayed home with John. Landon got sick earlier in the day and we didn't want to pass it along to everyone else. Bryce really enjoyed spending time alone with Hunter and Wyatt!
Landon's class took a field trip to Long's Park in Lancaster yesterday. He had a great time playing with all of his friends.
Molly and Wally accompanied Landon on his first field trip. He was so happy they were there with him (and I was even happier that they could be with him!). It will be a few years until I will feel comfortable with Landon going on a field trip alone!
This weekend I tackled a project that I have been putting off for over a year - cleaning out my closet. Of course, I had my special helpers eager to assist me! They both wanted to help me paint the closet so I let them each have a turn. Bryce is actually turning into a great painter!
In a few years, I think Bryce will be ready to paint a room by himself!
The elementary school that Bryce will attend in the Fall is sponsoring a library day every Tuesday in July. I took a vacation day so I could take Bryce today. Bryce had the opportunity to visit the school library to pick out a book. The school also hosted a magic show for the kids. Bryce loved it!
After the show, we ate lunch at the kindergarten playground with the Arnolds. It was great to be able to have Bryce play on all of the equipment before he starts school.
