Army and Animals

Bryce and Landon were very creative this evening during play time. Bryce set up all of his army figurines and Landon set up his animals - and every other action figure he could find. John and I love watching them play together and learn from each other!

Decorating Our Trees

For the past few years, Bryce has had a Christmas tree in his room. We knew if we didn't put a tree in Landon's room this year he would be very sad. We decorated the trees last night and Landon proudly stood by his. Bryce was really excited about decorating his tree. He was meticulous about placing the ornaments in just the right spot!

Playdate with Hunter and Wyatt

We went to my sister Lynne's house yesterday and stayed overnight so the boys could play. We had a blast! Uncle Jeff taught Bryce all about shooting pool. Landon had fun playing with all of the new and exciting toys!
Earlier today, the boys went outside to play golf.
Landon didn't play by the rules...he just kept hitting the ball!
The highlight of Bryce's day was shooting a BB gun at a target. Uncle Jeff spent a lot of time with Bryce teaching him about gun safety then helped him shoot at the target. Bryce is already looking forward to the next time he can shoot with Uncle Jeff.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! We celebrated Thanksgiving today with my entire family at my parents' house. We had a terrific time visiting with everyone and the boys had a blast being with all of their cousins, especially Megan and Chris. Playing at Molly and Wally's with cousins is always fun!

Christmas at Hershey

We went to Hershey Park on Saturday for their Christmas event. The boys had a blast! This picture doesn't represent Landon very well because he had a huge smile on his face almost the entire time we were there! A highlight of the night was looking at Santa's reindeer!
Bryce was so excited at Hershey that he couldn't contain himself! The train ride was one of his favorite activities!

Landon's Special Day

Landon had a very special day alone with me and John today. (I haven't been working on Mondays and John took a vacation day today to attend Bryce's parent visitation program at kindergarten.) His special day started by going out to lunch with us. I think it was the first time he went out to a restaurant without Bryce!
Our next stop was a visit at Molly and Wally's house. Landon enjoyed playing with the trains!
Our final destination was Toys R Us for Christmas shopping. We bought the kids Christmas gifts and we're hoping Landon was oblivious to the fact that "Santa" was shopping with him today!

Dinner with the Arnolds

We went to our freinds Jeremy and Jennifer's house for dinner yesterday. The boys had a great time playing with Katherine and Grant while the adults socialized. A night at the Arnold's wouldn't be complete without a dance party!

A Visit from Meemaw and Papaw

John's mother and step-father came to York to visit us this weekend. Bryce and Landon LOVED playing with them and soaked up all of the attention they received. Ann brought buckeyes from Ohio for the boys. Landon enjoyed counting them with his Meemaw!

Reading with Molly

The boys enjoyed spending time with my Mom. She came over to help me sort and organize kids clothes, but she took a break to read bedtime books to the boys.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween! Bryce dressed up as Dale Ernhardt, Jr. and Landon was James, which is one of the Thomas the Tank Engine trains. Cousins Hunter and Wyatt joined us for trick-or-treating this year. What a blast! We hope they come over every Halloween.
It rained when we first began trick-or-treating but it didn't stay around for long!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our Halloween pumpkins tonight. Bryce and John carved a face in their pumpkin, and Landon and I carved a bat. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of our finished products!

Landon's Halloween Parade

Landon's childcare center hosted its annual Halloween parade today. Their class is named the Honey Bees so the teacher had all of the kids dress up as bees. They were all so cute! Honey bee Landon!

Funny Landon

This picture is a perfect description of Landon. This morning he ran downstairs laughing and exclaimed, "I'm spiderman." How can you not smile at a three year old wearing spiderman swimming goggles while he laughs hysterically at himself at 6:30 a.m.? He is a mini version of his daddy!

Happy Birthday John

Happy Birthday John! John received assistance blowing out his birthday candles!
We had a nice dinner celebration yesterday with our friends Mark and Allison. We extended the celebration into today for an entire weekend of birthday fun!

Bryce's Fall Party

Bryce's kindergarten class recently had its fall party. Bryce is in the back row wearing a red plaid shirt and knight helmet. I was able to volunteer at his school that day and help with the party activities. It was great to watch Bryce enjoy all of the activities and interact with his friends!

Football in the Mud

It was a muddy day of flag football practice! Bryce didn't mind the mud at all! Here he is with his friend Connor. Here is the team playing.
While Bryce was playing football, Landon played with Connor's sister, Morgan.
Molly and Wally came to watch Bryce's game today. Wally helped to entertain Landon by passing the ball to him and Molly took him for a walk.
Bryce's goal was to be the dirtiest player on the field and he succeeded! He searched for the mud and jumped in it!

Fruit Farm Field Trip

Landon went on his first "pumpking picking" field trip yesterday. We were blessed with dry weather and comfortable temperatures.
In this picture Landon is thinking, "Why won't this darn pumpkin let go!" He didn't expect it to be so hard to pick a pumpkin, but he kept trying.
The gourds were much easier to pick.
Finally, Landon found a pumpkin! He was so proud to have found one that was already off the vine and lying on the ground for him to pick up!

Bryce's Birthday Party

We celebrated Bryce's 6th birthday with a party at our house today. We had a lot of fun planning the pirate theme party. Bryce's birthday cake.
Blowing out the candles.
Bryce's friend Grant gave him this John Deere tractor book. It was one of Bryce's favorite presents!
In his best pirate accent, John read "How I Became a Pirate".
After the party, John and Bryce put together a Lego set, which was given to Bryce by his friend Jimmy.

Katherine's Princess Party

We went to our friend Katherine's princess theme birthday party last weekend. Landon and Katherine are in the same preschool class so there were a lot of Landon's special friends there. Bryce was happy to attend and play with Grant. While I was taking this picture, Bryce refused to smile - he just wanted to pose with Grant's light sabor.
Landon had a terrific time with his friends.
There was a scavenger hunt during the party and Landon's special prize was hidden in the mailbox.

Fall Decorating

We went shopping for fall decorations on Saturday. The boys really enjoyed picking out mums and pumpkins. There were special activities set up for kids at the nursery we visited. Both boys loved playing miniature golf.
Bowling with pumpkins was also a hit!
