Play Date With the Arnolds

Bryce didn't have school today so we invited the Arnolds over to play. It was a beautiful spring day and the kids spent almost the entire time outside playing! They did take a brief break to come inside to make their own pizzas and eat lunch, then they were back outside! Grant and Katherine loved making their own lunch at our house!

Model Train Display

We went to the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown to day to view their model railroad display. It was a beautiful day outside and we arrived earlier so we walked around the Village before we saw the trains.
There were several intricate displays to view. Bryce and Landon were fascinated by each display and spent a lot of time looking at everything.
Getting a closer look!

Friendship Day Party

Bryce's class held a Friendship Day party today in recognition of Valentine's Day. I was fortunate to be able to attend the party because I helped the room mother plan it. The kids had a blast! They made heart crafts, stacked up candy hearts and played a relay game. It was awesome to see the kids have so much fun together. The party ended with delicious snacks made by the parents!

Sledding!

We had a ton of fun sled riding at Aunt Lisa's house today!
At first, Landon was scared to ride the sled down the hill but once he sat on Emily's lap, he loved it! He would only go down the hill with her.
Bryce had a great time playing with Aaron in the snow!
It looked like so much fun that i had to try it!

More Snow

Later this afternoon Bryce and Landon went outside to burn some energy! After being stuck inside all day, they had a lot of excited energy to release! Look at Bryce surrounded by all of the snow! Landon's little body could have easily gotten lost in all of the snow.
Thank goodness for John who dug us out!
Our house is covered in white!

Round Two

We are in the middle of another snow storm right now with another 10 inches expected by the end of the day! This has been quite a winter! I bought a lot of indoor activities to keep the boys busy today during the snow. They were excited to start painting.

Play Time In The Snow!

When Bryce got home from school this afternoon, the boys went into the backyard to play in the snow. They had so much fun! Here they are trying to trek through the nearly 20 inches of snow. A few times Landon got tired and just threw himself down on the snow to rest. He had a permanent smile on his face the entire time he was outside.
What a happy boy!

Morning Play Date

Bryce and Landon had a fun Monday morning! Bryce had a two hour delay and we watched our neighbor Dawson before we sent the two of them off to school!

Super Bowl Sunday

We went to a friend's house for a Super Bowl party today. By the appearance of the basement, you can tell how much fun all of the kids had! There is nothing better than exploring a basement filled with toys! Landon and Bryce enjoyed checking out the Guitar Hero set. They can't wait to play it one day!

Snow Storm!

What a storm we had! Nearly 20 inches! John did a great job digging us out and Landon enjoyed being his special helper! Bryce wasn't feeling well and he decided he would rather rest inside. It was the first time Bryce has ever passed up an opportunity to play outside in the snow! Landon loved shoveling, even if it was shoveling the snow back onto the sidewalk.

Play Date with Meghan and Charlie

While Bryce was in school today, we went to Mell's house for a play date with Meghan and Charlie. Landon had so much fun playing with them and all of their toys! Mell made a yummy lunch for us, and Landon and Meghan enjoyed sitting next to each other while eating. Charlie happily sat in his highchair during lunch. He is such a cutie pie!

Chapstick

While we were at the store today, Landon asked if we could buy Chapstick. His lips have been dry so I said, "Of course." I gave the Chapstick to Landon when we got in the car for the ride home. When we did arrive at our house, this is what he looked like! He was a little bit too excited about putting the Chapstick on his lips - or should I say his face?

A Visit From the Tooth Fairy

We had a very exciting weekend! On Saturday night, Bryce told me his mouth was hurting. I looked at it and we discovered his first loose tooth! Bryce has been waiting for a very long time to have a loose tooth. In fact, for the past year, he has periodically asked me to check his mouth for loose teeth. When he found out the he actually had one, he was ecstatic! He immediately got his Tooth Fairy box that Aunt Lynne made for him in anticipation of placing his first tooth inside of it. Bryce wiggled his tooth all evening on Saturday. He begged us to tie dental floss around it to pull it out. Ouch! I don't know where he learned about that trick! He asked John to pull out his tooth and John started wiggling. After a few tries, the tooth came out!
Our toothless little boy! Just another sign that he is growing up right before our eyes!

Squids!

Bryce and Landon made squids for dinner tonight. It wasn't the healthiest meal, but was definately a lot of fun! I found the recipe in Family Fun magazine. We cut up hot dogs and the boys pierced spaghetti into them. When they were cooked, they looked like squids!

Obstacle Course

Bryce had a day off school today in recognition of Martin Luther King Day. I asked him if he wanted to do something special and he said, "I want to stay home all day long!" So that's what we did! A highlight of the day was the obstacle course Bryce and Landon created together. They ran, jumped on the mini trampoline then landed on pillows. It was a great day!

Pennsylvania Farm Show

We went to the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg yesterday. The boys had a blast! In this picture, Bryce is standing in front of an antique tractor. He loved sitting on all of the tractors and checking them out. Landon followed Bryce's lead and testes out the tractors too!
Landon and Bryce loved looking at all of the animals - rabbits, chickens, birds, cows, horses, just to name a few. Bryce was very brave and touched almost every one.
Molly and Wally joined us for an evening of fun at the Farm Show.
There were many educational displays and activities for the kids. In this picture, the boys are playing in a pool filled with seeds.

Library Day

I recently began working part-time again so Landon and I have been enjoying a lot of daytime activities together. We spent a few hours at the library this morning and Landon loved it! It was the first time that we went there without Bryce. Landon definately soaked up the one-on-one time and he selected his own books without the Bryce's input. He was so happy to be sole decision maker about books!
