My kids love to go to Lowe's simply so they can sit on a tractor! Landon and I made a quick trip into Lowe's yesterday and I forgot to avoid the tractor area. As soon as Landon spotted them, he immediately wanted to test one out!
Bryce didn't have school today so we invited the Arnolds over to play. It was a beautiful spring day and the kids spent almost the entire time outside playing! They did take a brief break to come inside to make their own pizzas and eat lunch, then they were back outside!
Grant and Katherine loved making their own lunch at our house!
We went to the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown to day to view their model railroad display. It was a beautiful day outside and we arrived earlier so we walked around the Village before we saw the trains.
When Bryce got home from school this afternoon, the boys went into the backyard to play in the snow. They had so much fun! Here they are trying to trek through the nearly 20 inches of snow.
A few times Landon got tired and just threw himself down on the snow to rest. He had a permanent smile on his face the entire time he was outside.
We went to a friend's house for a Super Bowl party today. By the appearance of the basement, you can tell how much fun all of the kids had! There is nothing better than exploring a basement filled with toys!
Landon and Bryce enjoyed checking out the Guitar Hero set. They can't wait to play it one day!
What a storm we had! Nearly 20 inches! John did a great job digging us out and Landon enjoyed being his special helper! Bryce wasn't feeling well and he decided he would rather rest inside. It was the first time Bryce has ever passed up an opportunity to play outside in the snow!
Landon loved shoveling, even if it was shoveling the snow back onto the sidewalk.
While Bryce was in school today, we went to Mell's house for a play date with Meghan and Charlie. Landon had so much fun playing with them and all of their toys! Mell made a yummy lunch for us, and Landon and Meghan enjoyed sitting next to each other while eating.
Charlie happily sat in his highchair during lunch. He is such a cutie pie!
We had a very exciting weekend! On Saturday night, Bryce told me his mouth was hurting. I looked at it and we discovered his first loose tooth!
Bryce has been waiting for a very long time to have a loose tooth. In fact, for the past year, he has periodically asked me to check his mouth for loose teeth. When he found out the he actually had one, he was ecstatic! He immediately got his Tooth Fairy box that Aunt Lynne made for him in anticipation of placing his first tooth inside of it.
Bryce wiggled his tooth all evening on Saturday. He begged us to tie dental floss around it to pull it out. Ouch! I don't know where he learned about that trick! He asked John to pull out his tooth and John started wiggling. After a few tries, the tooth came out!
Bryce had a day off school today in recognition of Martin Luther King Day. I asked him if he wanted to do something special and he said, "I want to stay home all day long!" So that's what we did! A highlight of the day was the obstacle course Bryce and Landon created together. They ran, jumped on the mini trampoline then landed on pillows. It was a great day!
We went to the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg yesterday. The boys had a blast! In this picture, Bryce is standing in front of an antique tractor. He loved sitting on all of the tractors and checking them out.
Landon followed Bryce's lead and testes out the tractors too!
I recently began working part-time again so Landon and I have been enjoying a lot of daytime activities together. We spent a few hours at the library this morning and Landon loved it! It was the first time that we went there without Bryce.
Landon definately soaked up the one-on-one time and he selected his own books without the Bryce's input. He was so happy to be sole decision maker about books!
