Visit With Molly and Wally

We spent the day visiting Molly and Wally today. The kids colored and played with the train set. Also, Molly made a delicious lunch for us!

Tumble Town

We had a great morning with Mell, Meghan and Charlie at Tumble Town. The kids played hard and they wore themselves out! We are looking forward to our next play date!

Afternoon Playtime

Emily and Aaron came over this afternoon to play for a few hours. The kids had a blast together!

Playing in the Rain

The boys invited our neighbors Carter and Eric over this afternoon to have a water battle in the back yard. It began to rain so they decided to run around and play in the rain! They were sprinkled with Earth's natural sprinkler system!

Happy Birthday Wyatt

Today we celebrated cousin Wyatt's birthday with a party at his house.

We had perfect weather today for an outdoor party. The kids spent most of the day playing together in the pool.

Emily did a great job taking care of Landon in the pool!

John had a lot of fun too! He enjoyed riding Jeff's dirt bike on the track in their back yard.

Fire Department Tour

Our neighbor Todd is a full-time fire fighter with our local fire department. He invited Bryce to take a tour of the fire department this evening while he was working. Unfortunately, he had to go out on the ambulance just before we got there but a really nice fire fighter named Ryan showed us the trucks. Bryce was so excited to sit in the fire truck! Landon sat on the truck too and wore fire fighter Ryan's ear phones.

Ryan turned on all of the lights for the boys to see. Unfortunately we had to cut our tour short because the fire fighters were called to a fire. Bryce and Landon watched the fire fighters load into the truck and leave the building. How exciting!

Father's Day Picnic

Landon's school hosted a Father's Day picnic this afternoon. John and Landon enjoyed a picnic lunch outside and they played several games together. What a great father-son event!

Football Training

Bryce wants to play flag football again this fall and to prepare he is attending a football conditioning clinic. During the clinic, the kids work hard for two hours straight. We thought Bryce would hate it after the first session are we were surprised to hear him say after the clinic, "I loved it! I can't wait until next week!"

Field Day Fun!

Bryce's school hosted its annual end of the year party, which is called Field Day. The kids enjoyed a lot of fun activities, both outside and inside. In this picture, they are decorating a photo frame which contained a class picture. Everyone had a great day, the weather was perfect and I was blessed to be one of the class chaperones.

Hot Rods Are Here!

York hosted its annual Hot Rod event this weekend. For the past few days, the boys have been pointing out the antique cars while we are driving. They love it! Tonight we parked our car along a main highway and watched the cars drive by.

Fun In The Sun

We purchased a family pool pass this year since I will be home a lot with the boys this summer. Landon and I spent the afternoon at the pool yesterday while Bryce was in school. Landon loved it more than I could have ever imagined! His favorite activity was playing in the water park. Later that evening when Bryce got home from school he overheard me telling someone on the phone that Landon and I went to the pool. He was livid that Landon went swimming and he didn't! We didn't have plans so I took Bryce to the pool alone. He loved it too! It looks like we will be spending a lot of time swimming this summer!

The Signs Of Summer

Summer has arrived! We set up the sprinkler in the back yard today and Bryce and Landon, along with a few neighbors, cooled off.

Memorial Day Picnic

We went to a friend's house yesterday for a Memorial Day picnic. The kids had a blast! There were several kids around the same age as Bryce and Landon. They all ran and played for hours!

There were a lot of water activities that all of the kids loved! Bryce's favorite was squirting everyone with the super soakers.

Spring Concert

Landon's school hosted its annual Open House and Spring Concert last night. Landon enjoyed being on stage singing songs. Landon looked so handsome for the concert!

Playing at Hunter and Wyatt's

John is out of town working for a few days so we decided to spend the day visiting cousins Hunter and Wyatt. Bryce and Landon loved sitting on their dirtbikes. Lynne and Jeff planted a huge vegetable garden this year. Bryce was excited to have Aunt Lynne show him everything they planted. We can't wait to eat some of their fresh produce this summer!

Dale Jr. T-shirts

Our neighbors, Rick and Sue, recently went to a Nascar race and they bought Dale Ernhardt t-shirts for Bryce and Landon while they were there. The boys love the the shirts and wore them the very next day!

Jump, Jump, Jump!

John and I have been talking about getting a trampoline for the back yard for the past few years. We finally decided to purchase one and the kids have been jumping on it everyday!

Alicia and Finlay

My friend Alicia was in town visiting family and I finally got to meet her son Finlay. We went to the mall together and Landon and Finlay enjoyed playing in the kids area together. Landon and Finlay had a great time together.

Mother's Day Picnic

Landon's school hosted a Mother's Day picnic today. The event began with the children singing a few special songs to all of the mothers.

Next we planted a flower together then went outside for a picnic lunch. What a special day!

Muffins With Mom

Bryce's school hosted a Muffins with Mom event this week. We had a great time having breakfast together and with Bryce's friends Grant and Connor. Bryce loved his chocolate muffin!

A Day at the Park

It was a beautiful day today so Landon and I spent the morning at the park together. Landon rode his bike, played at the playground, chased butterflies and talked to the ducks! Later in the evening we went back to the park to watch Bryce's t-ball game. It was a perfect day for Landon!

Bryce's t-ball games began last weekend and we have already had a few games.

Welcome to Star Wars

Bryce has been reading a Star Wars book and has been asking John a lot of questions about the movie. John is excited because he was a huge Star Wars fan as a child. We finally allowed Bryce to watch one of the movies this weekend, and now he is an official Star Wars fan as well. This week, Bryce and Landon have been having a lot of fun have light saber battles. As you can tell by the expression on his face, Bryce takes his role very seriously!

A Boy and His Throne

Landon has a good life! Yesterday morning he told me he had to go to the potty. So he got his little pink potty and sat it on the living room floor and played Wii! Who needs a book when you can play Wii!

My Aunt Ann and Uncle Joe are visiting from Florida this week, and we went to my parents' house this evening to spend time with them. Bryce wasn't too interested in Uncle Joe until he found out that Uncle Joe once drove a military tank. Uncle Joe promised Bryce he would send pictures!

Morning with Becky

We enjoyed a visit this morning from my cousin Becky. We haven't seen her in a long time and we had nice time catching up with her.

Meghan and Charlie

Landon had a playdate with Meghan and Charlie on Friday. We took the kids to the park to play, and they enjoyed riding their bikes there. After the park they played inside and had lunch together. What a great morning!

Aircraft Carrier

Bryce goes through phases with playing with toys. He will immerse himself with something and that is all he thinks about. Lately, he has been really exciated about playing "army" and he wants to learn as much as he can about the military. He and John decided that they were going to build an aircraft carrier that is photographed in one of the military books that Bryce has been reading. They did a great job recreating the carrier, and Bryce already has ideas about what to build next!

Visit From MeeMaw and Papaw

John's parents came to visit us this weekend. Their first stop was to watch Bryce's tball game. Landon was cold so he snuggled up to Meemaw to keep warm.

After we ate dinner, we celebrated Ann's birthday, which is today. We got a cake and the boys enjoyed singing Happy Birthday and helped Meemaw blow out her candles.

Meemaw and Papaw were suckered into reading bedtime books tonight. Landon brought a few books over to Papaw and climbed up on his lap to listen to Papaw read.

Bryce went up to his bedroom for Meemaw to read to him. He loves when someone special will read to him!
