First Dentist Appointment

Landon had his first dentist appointment today. Bryce had his teeth cleaned first and Landon had a front row seat to watch! Bryce did a great job showing Landon exactly what to do when it was his turn. We were really surprised at how well Landon did at the dentist office. He opened his mouth nice and wide.

Reptile Show

Aunt Lynne and I took Bryce, Landon, Hunter and Wyatt to the library today for a reptile show.
Wow! Hunter wrapped up in a snake!
Wyatt had no reservations about having the snake crawl over him. He loved it!
All of the kids (minus Bryce) were able to hold the longest snake.
Bryce finally felt brave enough to touch a snake with his finger!

A New Playground

A new playground opened last month at our local park. It was designed to be used by children of all abilities. We are so excited to have a playground that all kids can use! In this picture, Bryce and Landon are playing with the misting area. We have yet to leave the park dry because they like to stand in the water until they are soaked!
Love the musical area.
There are so may cool areas within the playground to explore!

Lunch With Daddy

We met John at his office this afternoon and went out to lunch together. It was great to see him during the day!
We had a yummy lunch at the John Wright restaurant, which overlooks the Susquehanna River.
After lunch we went back to John's office to meet all of his co-workers.

Library Day

We went to Bryce's elementary school today for a special activity at the library. The kids participated in a few art projects then reserved library books. Bryce was a great big brother to Landon and he showed Landon where all of the good books were located on the shelves. We are so glad that Bryce will still be at this school when Landon begins kindergarten.

Hands On House

My friend Mell and I took our children to the Hands On House, which is a children's museum. The kids had a blast playing together. After we wore the kiddos out, we went to Qudoba for lunch.
Here they are collecting their harvest of corn. Hands on House provides an outlet for great imaginary play.
Bryce, Landon and Meghan checked out the factory conveyor belt.
Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum. Frick and Frack. So many words to describe these two spitfires who can light up a room with their energy and unravel every one of their mommies' nerves at the same time! Meghan and Landon will certainly grow up to be strong, assertive adults! Until that time arrives, the mommies need a lot of prayers for patience!

Feeding the Birds and Fish

We stayed in a hotel in Ocean City that had birds and fish in the lobby. Every morning, Bryce and Landon went to the lobby to help the caregiver feed the animals. In this picture, Bryce is feeding the birds dried fruit and peanuts.
Landon also liked to feed the birds peanuts.
Landon much preferred to feed the fish over the birds. He would sit at the side of the pond and throw in the food, waiting anxiously for the fish to come to him.

We Love Midge!

We have been dog sitting Midge, who belongs to my sister's friend Diane. Our entire family has completely and totally fallen in love with Midge! If we could adopt her, we would!
John is a huge animal lover so he really enjoyed playing with Midge and taking care of her!

Happy Independence Day

Happy Independence Day!
We invited Molly and Wolly over for dinner this evening to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Landon had a rough evening tonight and he refused to pose in any pictures. So there are no pictures of Landon from today!
After dinner, we went to a local club that hosts a fire works display.

Emily wanted to celebrate her birthday during the summer with her friends so she had a Luah theme party today. Since I will never be able to plan a party for a girl, I asked if I could help her. We went shopping for supplies together and planned the activities.
The boys played together while the girls enjoyed the party!

Face Painting

I recently bought a face painting kit so I can begin face painting during the boys' birthday parties. They were excited for me to get started so we tested out a few designs today. The design on Bryce's face is a tribal design. I need a lot of practice before I can begin painting designs on kids who aren't my children!
