Happy Birthday Hayden

Bryce and Landon were invited to our neighbor Hayden's birthday party.  Hayden's uncle owns Twin Pines farm, and that is where the party was held.

The highlight of the party was a tractor ride around the farm.  I can tell Bryce is getting older because he didn't want me to sit near him on the ride!

Hayden's very creative Mommy made awesome cupcakes for the party.  They looked good and tasted even better!

Gettysburg Visit

I had to work this afternoon and I asked my parents to watch Bryce and Landon.  My parents took them to Gettysburg, and they spent the afternoon touring the National Military Park.  The boys had a great time!  They're looking forward to another visit to Gettysburg!

Bryce and Landon posed for a picture with Abe Lincoln.

The boys enjoyed lunch and dessert at Friendly's.

Summer Scouting Events

Bryce has been busy this summer with Scouting activities.  In the beginning of the summer they visited a local nursing home to play bingo with the residents.

In June, Bryce and John had their first camping experience at Camp Tuckahoe.

Earlier this week, they went back to the nursing home to celebrate the 101st birthday of a few beautiful women.  They helped the women blow out all 101 candles!

Fireworks

Bryce and Landon make their own fireworks this morning out of glue, glitter, and ink dabbers.  I had fun making one too!  Landon taught us how to make the fireworks out of glue and glitter because he made them in school this past year.  I think I will be cleaning up glitter for the next month!

Bryce was meticulous about making perfect fireworks with the glue.  He did a great job!

A Relaxing Evening

It was a beautiful and cool evening to sit outside and relax, and that is exactly what we did!

Playing With Cousins

We had a great afternoon at the park with Hunter and Wyatt!  They all loved being together, running around, and playing at the playground.

Bryce took a break from the action and rested in the shade.  He was exhausted when we left!

Look How Much I've Grown

I was at the park with Landon a few weeks ago and I was amazed at how easily he was jumping, climbing and running.  It made me think of this picture that was taken when Landon was almost one.
This is a picture of Landon today.  It is hard to believe that just four years ago he was a little baby who couldn't even walk yet.

Family Night at the Park

Finally, some relief from the hot and humid weather!  We took advantage of the comfortable temperature outside and went to the park this evening.

Bryce could spin all night on this if we let him!  He loves it - until he falls off!

A trip to the park is never complete until Bryce and Landon have climbed the ropes.  Landon is our little monkey and he always climbs to the top.

We walked over to the pond and looked for fish and dragon flies.  We found a school of fish, but no dragon flies today.

We Love Milkshakes!

Bryce and Landon love going to Fudruckers to get a milkshake.  We took them there tonight and they both indulged in a cool, refreshing chocolate milkshake.

Could this boy be any happier?  I don't think so!

Silly Boys

Landon and Bryce had a lot of extra energy this week because it was too hot to play outside.  They got some exercise by dancing and singing.  Too cute!

Landon and Grayson

When Landon went to his room today for a nap, Grayson came with him to snuggle.  That NEVER happens!

Bowling With Friends

We met the Arnold family today at the bowling alley for a fun afternoon in the air conditioning!  Bryce's friend Jimmy also joined us.  The kids had a great time eating lunch and bowling together.

Grant and Katherine's new baby brothers had fun too!  Jennifer and I were exhausted by the time the kids finished bowling!  Managing five kids and two babies in a crowded bowling alley equals two tired mammas!

Summer Library Program

Today we went to Bryce's school to participate in the Summer Library program.  Bryce and Landon made paper butterflies, listened to the principal read a book, and watched a presentation about bugs.  They saw spiders, scorpions, roaches, and lots of other creepy crawleys!

Cooling Off In The Pool

We were supposed to go on a bike ride with Bryce's Boy Scout troop this evening, but it was cancelled because of the hot temperatures.  Instead, we went to a fellow Scout's house to swim.

Bryce, Peter, and Colin had a great time swimming together!

Landon was not going to be left out of all of the fun!  He put on his swim vest and kept up with the big boys!

The boys ended the evening with a freeze pop by the pool!

Dinner At The Imschweiler's

We went to our friends Tracy and Derek's house tonight for dinner.  Bryce and Landon had an awesome time playing with their sons Colin and Evan!  In this picture, they are pretending to be a choo-choo train traveling around the yard.

The train quickly de-railed and landed on the grass!  The boys were too cute together!!

An Evening With The Martins

Mell and David invited us over to their house for dinner this evening.  We enjoyed a great dinner, and then we went to Rita's for dessert.  As always, the kids had a blast playing together!  They especially enjoyed ridnig their bikes to Rita's.  Sweet little Meghan had no trouble at all keeping up with the boys!

Lake Tobias

We took the kids to Lake Tobias Wildlife Park today.  What an awesome family fun day!

The highlight of Lake Tobias is definitely the safari ride through the property.  We saw tons of  unique animals during our adventure on the bus.

Some of the animals are very friendly are are used to being fed by visitors.  Look at how close they get to the bus!  This is a picture of Landon feeding an animal crackers.

Here is Bryce feeding a deer.

After we left Lake Tobias, we took the kids to Wegman's for dinner.  This is now their new favorite place to eat!  I wish we had a Wegman's closer to us!

Face Painting Fun

Landon is such a ham!  He got our face painting book out this morning and asked me to paint something on him.  He chose a scary face.  After I was done painting, he asked me to take pictures of him while he made funny expressions.

This is Landon's tough guy face!

And here's the happy face!  And yes, he put a temporary tattoo on his neck!  What a sight!

Bryce chose a super hero design.  I'm so glad that my kids don't care that I stink at face painting!!

Happy Fourth of July

Look at these exhausted boys!  The boys spent the day playing with their cousins and were wiped out by the end of the evening.  We gave them bathes, put on their pajamas, and loaded them in the car to watch fireworks.  It was a struggle for them to stay awake to watch them!

Bowling

I signed the kids up for the "Kids Bowl Free" program and we have been enjoying weekly trips to the bowling alley.  Today we went with Hunter, Wyatt and my parents.

Molly was happy to watch the kids bowl!

Hunter and Bryce.

After bowling, we took the kids out for pizza.  What a great afternoon!

York Revolution Baseball Game

Tonight we enjoyed a family night at a York Revolution minor league baseball game.  We didn't go to a game last summer so Landon was much younger when we last went to a game.  What a difference a few years makes!  He loved it and couldn't wait to see Downtown, the team's mascot.

The boys' outgrew their old York Revolution baseball hats so we bought new hats for them tonight.  They were excited to wear them!

Bryce loved watching the game!

The boys stayed patient for about six innings, them they became restless.  We walked over to the play area so they could burn some energy.

Little Landon....our monkey!
