Bryce has been looking at his blog lately, and he asked me to update it.  Here's our update!

Tae Kwon Do Board Breaking

There was a special board breaking event at Bryce's Tae Kwon Do class tonight.  Bryce was proud when he broke three pieces of wood.  He has come so far since January!

Blue and Gold Banquet

Today was Bryce's Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet.  It was a beautiful celebration where the Scouts progress to the next level.

Since John is the den leader, he passed out awards to the Cub Scouts in Bryce's den.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Today was a perfect day to be outside so we went to the York St. Patrick's Day parade!

Silly Landon

This is picture is a perfect description of Landon's personality.  He went up to his room this evening and came downstairs dressed like this.  He came up to me and looked at me smiling.  In his mind, he was thinking, "What?  There's nothing wrong with dressing in Christmas pajamas and a New Year's hat in the middle of March!"

Birthday Party Fun

Landon had a great afternoon at his friend Evan's birthday party!

Art Show and Ice Cream Party

In honor of Dr. Suess week, Bryce's school hosted special activities all week long.  Today was spirit day and Bryce was decked out head to toe in his school colors of black and orange.

This evening was the school's Art Show and Ice Cream party.  Bryce entered a wooden car into the art show.

We enjoyed ice cream after we looked at all of the art projects.

Crazy Hat Day

Today was hat day at Bryce's school.  Bryce chose a camoflauge hat, and his teacher, Mrs. Howard, wore a fun and colorful straw hat.

Boy Scout Meeting

John and Bryce had a den meeting this evening, so I took a picture of them in their uniforms.

Visit from the Gerbers

Vince, Kathleen, and Chris came to York for a quick visit this week during their Spring break.  The boys and I enjoyed the evening with them at my mom's house.  A short but nice visit!!

First Communion Retreat

 

 

Bryce is making his first Holy Communion at our church this year.  Today he went to a retreat at the church to help him prepare for the sacrament.  I volunteered at the retreat and we both had a great time learning more about our faith, and Bryce even made a few new friends today!

Appointment With The Allergy Doctor

It has been several years since Landon has been to the allergy doctor because he seemed to be growing out of his food allergies.  Recently, he has began showing symptoms of a nut allergy so I decided it was time to get him checked out again.  You can't tell by this photo, and he certainly wouldn't admit it to me, but he was really nervous about this appointment.

On a side note, the last time we visited the allergy doctor we had an embarrassing bathroom episode with Bryce - (you can read about it here http://www.brycelandon.blogspot.com/2008/10/busy-day.html).  This time, it was Landon's turn.  No, he didn't clog the toilet like Bryce did - he pooped his pants - which he never does!  (I guess you could say that he was so nervous about seeing the doctor that he literally sh*t his pants!!!!)  Beginning at the moment we entered the tiny exam room, I started smelling little "presents" Landon was passing.  The smell was painfully obvious so I apologized to the doctor while she was meeting with us.  Next, we were in the exam room alone waiting for the nurse to start the allergy testing and I realized Landon left a "big present" in his underwear.    I did what any mom would do - ran to the bathroom, threw away the underwear, and starting cleaning up! Landon was horrified that he had to go commando!  He couldn't process why he had to sit through a long doctor appointment without underwear!

 

As you can see by the reactions on his back, he tested positive for a few things.  He is allergic to mold, tree pollen, dust mites, cats, and dogs.  Yes, he is allergic to dogs but I don't think there is any way my husband or children will part with Grayson!

An Evening With Emily and Aaron

Emily and Aaron came over this evening for a few hours so Lisa and Greg could go to an event.  Bryce and Landon were so happy to play with Aaron!  While the boys played, Emily, John and I played cards.

All three boys were on the move the entire night!

2012 Pinewood Derby

The 2012 Pinewood Derby for Bryce's Cub Scout Troop was held this morning.  John and Bryce had a prime spot to watch the cars race down the track.

Bryce's car is on the track and ready to start racing!

Landon was really excited about the Pinewood Derby.  He was especially looking forward to it because he entered a car in the sibling race.

This year's race theme was "Wild West."  Bryce embraced the theme and decorated it with a cowboy hat, horses shoes, and a lasso.  His car was selected as the best "theme car."

Pajama Boy

Landon's class had a special pajama day at school today.  Landon said it was one of his favorite days because he could be comfortable all day in his favorite pj's.  It's the little things in life that make him happy!

More Gerber Christmas Party Pictures

I accidentally left a few pictures on my camera when I downloaded some off my camera.  Here are a few more from our Christmas celebration at my parents house on December 23.

Bryce and Landon always love playing with their cousins!  They miss cousins Megan and Chris when they aren't there but we Skyped them on the computer so it was the next best thing!

Before we ate, my mom explained our traditional Christmas meal to the grandchildren.

Dads Versus Kids

 

Landon's basketball team had a dads versus kids basketball game.  Here are a few pictures from the game.

 

Snow!

The first snowstorm of 2012!  Bryce and Landon were so excited to wake up to snow covered ground this morning!  They quickly put their snow gear on and headed outside.

Landon was super excited about the snow!  On a side note.....I can tell the kids are getting older.  In the past, they spent more time getting ready to go outside than the actual amount of time they played outside.  Now, they quickly get dressed and spend hours playing in the snow outside.

The boys enjoyed sledding down the small hill in our front yard.

I bought Bryce and Landon these sleds last night.  Unfortunately, Bryce's has already cracked in half.

 

Grayson cried at the front door while watching John, Bryce, and Landon outside.  He wanted to be with them so badly!  His little tail wagged in delight when I put the leash on him to go outside too.

York County Industrial Museum

Bryce's Cub Scout Troop toured the York County Industrial Museum today to earn a historical site visitation achievement.  They learned how manufacturing companies in York County operated in the past.  One of their favorite stops on the tour was a working grain mill.

The boys enjoyed sitting in an old trolly car and looking at the plane mounted near the ceiling.

 Landon came with us for the tour and he was happy to see his friend Evan there too.  They loved sitting in an old train caboose.
