Playing With Pillows

The boys' new past time is playing with pillows and cushions, and they especially enjoy building beds with them. Yesterday, they piled all of the pillows together, got a few blankets and made their own special bed.

We Love To Paint

Bryce and Landon LOVE to paint! Today they painted wood trains. Bryce took his time painting and tried to stay within the lines. He told me, "I am painting slowly. I am really trying to focus on it."
Landon mixed all of his paint colors together and created a unique new shade! I expected a much bigger mess from him so I was pleasantly surprised when the paint was contained to the table.

Loving Each Other

Landon and Bryce were all over each other this morning. They both woke up earlier than normal and enjoyed extra time together. This is a rare sight lately of Bryce and Landon hugging and kissing each other.

I Love Peanuts

We went to Logan's Steakhouse for dinner last night. Bryce LOVES going there because of the peanuts. He could sit at the table all night long and crack peanuts! After he cracks open the peanut, he really enjoys throwing the shell down on the floor as hard as he can. Landon can't open the peanuts yet but he certainly enjoys imitating Bryce by throwing them on the floor! We have to tell him he can only throw the shells down, not the peanut!

Occupational Therapy

Bryce's fine motor skills are a little bit weak so we decided to send him to occupational therapy. The muscles in his upper shoulders aren't very strong and it is causing him to have difficulty with fine motor activities. He has been going to OT for a few months now are we are seeing great improvements. He really enjoys seeing his therapist, Ms. Karen, and she always has fun games for him to play!

Christmas Party

John and I went to his company Christmas party this evening. Molly and Wally came over to watch the kids. In this picture, Wally made paper airplanes for the boys. Bryce and Landon loved having Molly and Wally over to play with them and put them to bed!

Happy Birthday Sam

Another weekend, another birthday party! This time it was Bryce's friend Sam's party. Someone was at the party today making balloon art for the kids. Bryce had a great time playing with his balloon sword! What a great idea for a birthday party!
Another highlight of the party was the pinata. Unfortunately, it broke before Bryce had the chance to hit it.

Sparkling Clean Teeth

Bryce and I had our six month dentist appointments this morning. Bryce did a wonderful job opening his mouth wide for his cleaning. They attempted to take x-rays of his teeth today, but Bryce began crying when they talked to him about it. He was scared to have it done so we will try again in six months! Floride treatments are not Bryce's favorite thing! He did well keeping the floride tray in his mouth despite his dislike for it.

Tired Boys

Bryce and Landon were so tired this morning! They walked downstairs after I got them dressed and they rested at the bottom of the steps! They stayed there for about five minutes.

Christmas At Hershey

We went to Hershey Park yesterday for their "Christmas at Hershey" event. Molly came along with us and we had a great time enjoying the evening with her! This is a picture of Bryce waiting in line to visit Santa Claus. Bryce didn't want to sit on his lap but he did agree to talk to him. Santa asked Bryce what he wants for Christams and Bryce told him he just wants an electric guitar. Landon entertained himself while we were waiting for Santa by throwing my mom's hat to her. This game went on for a long time but it kept him content! Landon wasn't interested in sitting on Santa's lap either. He held on to me with a death grip!
After we visited Santa, we went to see a show. The kids loved it! By the time we left the warm theatre, it was really cold outside! The boys decided against riding any rides so we went home with our two exhausted kids!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! We celebrated the holiday by going to my parents' house. Here we are right before we began eating. Landon really enjoyed Aunt Lynne's sweet potato casserole and Molly's stuffing.
Bryce had a big appetite and ate more than he usually does! His favorites were the turkey and stuffing.
After dinner, the kids went outside and played football. They had a great time!

Christmas Decorating

We got a jump start with our holiday decorating by putting up the Christmas tree today. Cousin Emily came over to visit this evening so she helped us decorate. Landon was very funny while we decorated the tree. He had trouble hanging the ornament hooks on the tree so he begin doing it his way - throw the ornaments in the tree! He had a great time!
Bryce really liked decorating the tree. We played Christmas music, sang songs and hung the ornaments. It was a perfect family evening! We are not done decorating so we get to stretch out the fun for a few more days!

Happy Birthday Gustave

Bryce went to his friend Gustave's birthday party today. It was held at the mall at a kids tumbling facility. He had an awsome time running, tumbling and jumping. Bryce is pictured here with his friends Gustave and Holt. The kids enjoyed pizza and cake together.

First Snowfall

The boys were excited to wake up to an unexpected snow fall on Friday morning. There wasn't much snow, but the boys still enjoyed playing in it! Bryce was too busy to stop for a photo!

Hershey Bears Hockey Game

John and Bryce went to a Hershey Bears Hockey game on Saturday night. They sat three rows above the ice! Bryce was really into the game and cheered on his team!
John and Bryce went to the game with Bryce's friend Grant and his dad Jeremy.

I'm Not Getting Out!

Landon refused to get out of his crib earlier in the week. He happily sat in his crib and said, "No, I not get out!" each time Bryce and I tried to coax him out. Eventually, he got bored and wanted to be with Bryce and allowed me to carry him downstairs.

Music Recital

Bryce had a music recital at Stillmeadow today. He is really enjoying music and sang along to all of the songs on stage.

Donut Day

We were ready early one day this week so we went out for donuts before I took the boys to Stillmeadow. What a special treat! They loved it and it was a great way for us to spend extra time together!

Hat Boys

Bryce has been wearing baseball hats all the time! He wants to be like his Daddy! What ever Bryce does, Landon has to do. So now he likes to wear hats too!

Weekend Without Plans

This weekend has been a very rare one without any scheduled plans. It has been a welcome retreat from our usually hectic schedule. I asked Bryce this week if there was anything special he wanted to do on the weekend and he said he wanted to play at Molly and Wally's house.
The boys had fun playing in the basement with the train set, Lincoln Logs and musical instruments. We pretended to be in a band and everyone had their own instrument.

Love Hate Relationship

Bryce and Landon are beginning to develop a love/hate relationship. As much as they love being around each other, they get equally annoyed with each other. One second they can't get enough of each other and begin loving and hugging the other, as shown in the picture above. A few seconds later, one begins to agitate the other. I have to separate them sometimes to keep the peace. John and I are waiting for the day when there is a wrestling match in the back yard! We are hoping that won't happen until the teenage years! Life with boys!

Oh Sh**!

I took Bryce to Stillmeadow this morning and we found a Spiderman theme birthday invitation in his mailbox from one of his friends. I showed it to Bryce and he said, "I don't like Spiderman, Mom. Do you know what I have to say about that?" I replied, "No, Bryce. What do you have to say about that?" "Oh, shit," he said. I laughed thinking he probably didn't say what I think he said and asked him to repeat himself. He repeated, "shit." I thought for a second and wondered if I said that recently. Sadly, a few situations came to mind and I reminded myself not to ever do it again! I then told him that is a potty word and he can't say it again. I told him he would get in trouble if a teacher heard him say it. He looked at me with a bewildered face and said, "shit?" I replied, "Yes, Bryce. Shit is a very bad word." And that was the end of the conversation and hopefully Bryce won't say it again!

Memaw and Papaw

Memaw and Papaw came to visit from Ohio this weekend. Bryce and Landon were so happy to see them! The boys soaked up all of the attention they received and loved every second of it! Bryce introduced Papaw David to Wii. Papaw enjoyed playing Mario Cart Wii with Bryce!
Memaw helped Bryce with a school project. Bryce had to "disguise" a turkey and he chose to make it an Ohio State football player. Memaw had a lot of fun doing the project with Bryce, despite the fact that Bryce lost interest after a few minutes!

Happy Boy!

Landon has been such a happy guy lately! He has been having fun playing with all of his cars and trucks.

My First Skateboard

Bryce received a gift certificate for his birthday and he used it to buy a skateboard. He is so excited about it! Bryce cautiously rode his skateboard around the garage. He loved it!
