Oh Sh**!

I took Bryce to Stillmeadow this morning and we found a Spiderman theme birthday invitation in his mailbox from one of his friends. I showed it to Bryce and he said, "I don't like Spiderman, Mom. Do you know what I have to say about that?" I replied, "No, Bryce. What do you have to say about that?" "Oh, shit," he said. I laughed thinking he probably didn't say what I think he said and asked him to repeat himself. He repeated, "shit." I thought for a second and wondered if I said that recently. Sadly, a few situations came to mind and I reminded myself not to ever do it again! I then told him that is a potty word and he can't say it again. I told him he would get in trouble if a teacher heard him say it. He looked at me with a bewildered face and said, "shit?" I replied, "Yes, Bryce. Shit is a very bad word." And that was the end of the conversation and hopefully Bryce won't say it again!

Memaw and Papaw

Memaw and Papaw came to visit from Ohio this weekend. Bryce and Landon were so happy to see them! The boys soaked up all of the attention they received and loved every second of it! Bryce introduced Papaw David to Wii. Papaw enjoyed playing Mario Cart Wii with Bryce!
Memaw helped Bryce with a school project. Bryce had to "disguise" a turkey and he chose to make it an Ohio State football player. Memaw had a lot of fun doing the project with Bryce, despite the fact that Bryce lost interest after a few minutes!

Happy Boy!

Landon has been such a happy guy lately! He has been having fun playing with all of his cars and trucks.

My First Skateboard

Bryce received a gift certificate for his birthday and he used it to buy a skateboard. He is so excited about it! Bryce cautiously rode his skateboard around the garage. He loved it!

Happy Birthday Tanner

Bryce went to his friend Tanner's birthday party this afternoon at Chuck E. Cheese. He had a great time playing there with his friends. What was one of Bryce's favorite parts of the birthday party? Eating the cake!!!

Disney On Ice

We went to see Disney On Ice today. Bryce and Landon both enjoyed the Cars movie part of the show. They both danced to the music while they sat in their seats! Landon did much better during the show than we anticipated. For the first half of the show, he was mesmerized. We lost his attention after the intermission so John took him outside to walk around while Bryce and I watched the rest of the show.
Bryce checked out all of the Disney merchandise on our way out.

Wally

Molly and Wally stopped by for a visit the other night. The boys LOVED playing with Wally and they didn't give him a second of alone time! After they played, Bryce and Landon snuggled up to Wally on the couch and watched a movie.

Dale, Jr.

We went to Target this evening and checked out their Halloween costumes. They were 50% off so we bought a Dale Ernhardt, Jr. racing uniform for Bryce. He has not taken it off all evening. He asked me to get the camera and take pictures of him in it. I think he will wear this outfit every time there is a Nascar race on television!

Room to Roam

My sister Lynne and her husband, Jeff, moved into a new house this week. They have six acres and plenty of room to roam. We visited them this afternoon. John was so excited to ride one of Jeff's dirt bikes on the property. Wyatt is behind John on his dirt bike. Bryce, Landon, Hunter and Wyatt had fun playing football together.
Landon had fun being pushed by Hunter on the swing.
Bryce attempted to climb his first tree today. He didn't get far but still had fun trying.

Hershey In The Dark

On Saturday night we went to Hershey Park's Halloween event called "Hershey in the Dark." The boys had fun with their cousins! All four of them got on the rocket ship ride together.
Bryce and Aaron were buddies the entire night and got on all of the rides together.
It was Landon's first time on the horses! He loved it!

Team Photo

Yesterday marked the end of Bryce's soccer season. After the game, they posed for a team photo.
After the photo, the team had fun tackling coach Tac.

Trick or Treat

Friday night was trick or treating in our neighborhood. The boys posed for a photo in our driveway with some of their friends. Bryce with his Lightening McQueen helmet.

Halloween Parade

The daycare center Bryce and Landon attend held a Halloween parade on Friday. This is a picture of Landon's class. Landon is the Ohio State football player.
Here is Bryce with his class. Bryce and his friend Peter wore matching Lightening McQueen costumes.
Bryce posed for a photo with his friends Ben and Grant.
There was a party immediately following the parade. Landon enjoyed sitting and eating snacks with his friends.

Making Brownies

Bryce has a Halloween party at school tomorrow and we volunteered to bring the brownies. Bryce helped me make them this evening. He did a great job! He poured all of the ingredients into a bowl. After we had all of the ingredients in, he mixed them together. Bryce was really excited because we used a cookie cutter to make "pumpkin brownies" after they were baked. Unfortunately, only a few of the brownies resemble a pumpkin, but Bryce didn't mind.

Morning Sunshine

Landon is such a happy little sweat heart in the morning. He kept me company yesterday morning while I was getting ready. He sat on the bathroom floor just smiling and laughing. He also entertained himself by tearing the toilet paper into little pieces. He laughed and laughed.

Pumpkin Carving / Football Party

We got together with The Cables on Saturday night to carve pumpkins and watch the Penn State vs. Ohio State football game. The Cable clan rooted for Penn State while the Danes boys cheered for Ohio State. I stayed neutral but I did wear red in support of my family! Landon was fascinated by the inside of the pumpkin. Bryce still remembers the horrible smell of the inside of our pumpkin from last year, so he decided not to carve. He reminded us several times that he gagged on the smell last year!
This was the first year Matt and Jess carved their pumpkin without any assistance. They did an awesome job!
Bryce proudly wore his Ohio State jersey. He was so disappointed that they lost the game!
Landon was loving all of the attention he received from Matt and Jess.

Happy 40th Birthday John

It was a big birthday for John this year. The big 40! John had a great birthday yesterday despite the fact that his team lost to Penn State.

Friday Night Out

We had a fun night out with the kids on Friday. We ate dinner at one of our favoriate restaurants - El Serrano. Bryce was excited to be at El Serrano. John and I told Bryce he should love the food there because we ate there a lot while I was pregnant with him. Those were the days when John and I actually went out on dates alone!
After El Serrano, we went to Borders Books. Both boys received Borders gift certificates for their birthdays. What a perfect gift! They loved going there and selecting a book to bring home. Bryce picked the Polar Express and we have already read it several times.
Landon was very busy at Borders! John and I had to "divide and conquer" so one of us could keep our eyes on Landon the entire time!

Busy Day

We had a busy day of appointments on Thursday. Our first appointment was to a pediatric gastroenterologist in Lancaster for Bryce. Our next stop was Sam's Club. The boys were happy that Molly joined us for our busy day! She helped me control the boys during our day of non-stop running. Unfortunately, Landon missed his nap between Sam's Club and our next appointment and he was a mess! He had a temper tantrum in the car while I was buckling him in his car seat and he gaged on his saliva. He threw up all over himself! Ughhh!!!
Landon had a follow up appointment at the allergist next. What was the highlight of that visit? Well, Bryce clogged the toilet in this tiny, little office and water began to overflow on to the floor! After I frantically mumbled a few expletives while I tried to absorb the water with paper towels, I came to the conclusion that I had to tell someone what happened! Definitely one of my low points in life!
While we were at the allergy doctor, Landon was tested to see if he could receive a flu shot without having an allergic reaction. Also, they tested him to see if he is still allergic to eggs. Thankfully, he was able to receive the flu shot. The reddest mark on his back is his reaction to eggs, so we will continue to keep eggs out of Landon's diet.

Kitty Cat

Kitty Cat Landon! Landon's class read a book about cats on Wednesday and they were decorated for their roles. Unfortunately, the washable marker didn't wash off as easily as it should have so he was a cat on Thursday too! (By the way, washing dishes at the sink is Landon's favorite new past time!)
